OpenHome Player for OSX is an inobtrusive media streamer which sits in your system menu allowing you to stream high quality digital audio from your network servers and internet streaming services to your Mac. The application runs on OSX Mountain Lion or later.
Installation instructions
Download OpenHome Player for OSX
The application is distributed as an OSX package. Simply run the installer and select an install location. Once the installation is complete, you should see the OpenHome Player icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to start the player; the application will run in as a ‘system menu’ task.
To stream audio to the Player, use your OpenHome controller (eg Linn Kazoo or Bubble DS) to find your Player on the network. The player will use the same name as the Mac it is running on. Select the Player as the current renderer, choose some tracks to play and you’re ready to go!

The OpenHome evaluation players are provided free-of-charge for personal or evaluation purposes on an ‘as-is’ basis. OpenHome provides no warranty, either express or implied, and accepts no liability for any damage or costs arising from its use. Any organisation wishing to use or distribute the OpenHome players commercially must contact OpenHome Labs Limited (sales@openhomelabs.com) for a commercial licence.
